Hondos Fish & Chips is planned for 455 North Avenue NE in a former office space, according to a building permit application with the city.

The location for the carry-out restaurant is in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, adjacent to The Darwin Hotel and up the street from Ponce City Market. The space for the restaurant is 1,440 square feet, according to the application.

There is an existing Hondos location, called Hondos Shrimp & Fish, in Lawrenceville. The menu includes seafood entrees like catfish nuggets, jumbo shrimp and tilapia, as well as grilled chicken and sides like fries, hushpuppies and cilantro lime rice.

The owner couldn’t immediately be reached for more information about when the Atlanta restaurant is expanded to open.
