Saint + Goldie has been a long-time dream of Caroline Gordon, Liz Sicard and Bri Williams, and the time was golden to bring it to fruition.

“It was altogether good timing for us to chase the dream,” Williams told What Now Atlanta. “We all have different skillsets we bring to the table, different career paths we’ve been on thus far.”

Whether customers are seeking a gift or furnishing a home, the all-encompassing shop will feature home decor, accessories, children’s items, textiles and even a signature candle scent created with The Minted Market. There will also be larger furniture items and custom offerings.

“Our idea behind it was to be heavily curated, but at all price points,” Sicard said. “Anybody can come in and find a unique or thoughtful gift, whether your budget is 10 dollars or you’re looking to spend upward of a couple hundred. We’re offering something for everyone.”

Each of the owners brings unique experience and expertise to the business.

“We all bring something to the table, with Liz with interior design, Brianna with event and bridal, I do styling,” Gordon said. “We wanted to create a space that we can kind of do everything for you.”

Saint + Goldie is being built out at 397 North Sessions Street, next to Sessions Stand, a coffee shop and bakery.

“It truly came into our laps so perfectly,” Williams said. “It felt so meant to be from the beginning. We knew immediately that was where we wanted to be.”

The trio, who are local to the area and passionate about the neighborhood, have had their eye on the space and the potential it had, especially after Sessions Stand (owned by Katie and Micah Pfister) relocated to the building a few months ago. Then things really fell into place.

“We’ve all lived here for quite a long time,” Sicard said. “We pass by it going to the park. It was always like, that would be such a cool space. Katie and Micah, when they moved Sessions Stand over to the new space, it was kind of wild. I had this tugging on my heartstring, ‘I should ask if they’re gonna have any space available for rent’ … Katie reached out to us, ‘Hey, I hear you guys are interested in opening a space in Marietta.'”

As a vendor at the recent Sessions Stand Holiday Market, Saint + Goldie gave visitors a sneak preview of some of the offerings they’ll be able to find at the shop.

Sicard, Gordon and Williams expressed gratitude for the kindness they’ve experienced through the process, whether it’s customers getting excited for the doors to open, or those involved in the buildout of the shop – all equally important pieces to the puzzle.

As a tight-knit group and built-in support system (Gordon and Sicard are sisters, and Williams was one of the first friends they met when they moved to Georgia from Pennsylvania as kids), the challenges of opening a business become easier to navigate.

“Having a really great support system that we can lean on has been super helpful,” Gordon said. “If one of us is like, ‘This isn’t going well,’ we pick each other up. We’re gonna figure it out.”

With construction almost complete, Saint + Goldie is expected to open in early 2024.

“We’re excited to be a part of the Marietta community,” Gordon said. “We have a lot of events planned for the future, and we can’t wait to open our doors to everyone.”
