“Rina is a very personal project to me because it is named after my grandma, who really taught me everything I know about hospitality and the love for feeding and entertaining people,” Oliva Restaurant Group founder and CEO, Tal Baum, tells What Now Atlanta. “And I am extremely proud to be able to share her heritage and my upbringing in a second Rina location.”

Similar to its original counterpart, the interior designed by Baum and Smith Hanes Studio will embody the effervescence of an Israeli coastal town. Inspired by the beaches of Tel Aviv with a vibrant palette and ocean-themed decor, the 3,268-square-foot space will immerse guests into a breezy beachside oasis.

The restaurant will feature indoor and outdoor seating with classic blue and white striped awnings plus rolling glass doors adorning the facade bringing fresh air into the space when the weather is nice.

Known for its vivacity, the new Rina location will be embellished with details like Mondarian-style glass block windows, large planters, and ceiling flags.

“We will be bringing some of that very cheerful Tel Avivian vibes to Avalon, and I am very excited about it,” says Baum.

Rina serves modern takes on Israeli-style street food. The menu blends local ingredients with foreign traditions as the concept is inspired by Baum’s childhood and her traditional family recipes.

With an array of platters, sides, and pitas, diners can expect dishes like the Chicken Shawarma Pita with baba ganoush, Israeli salad, sumac & caramelized onions, the Falafel Salad with romaine, Israeli salad, feta, crispy chickpeas & goddess tahini dressing and the Beef Kebab with garlic pita, tomato brown butter & sumac onion.

Additionally, their beverage program boasts a unique lineup of specialty cocktails that feel perfect for sipping next to the ocean. Favorites include the frozen Hof Alma with passionfruit, gin, rum, orange & arak and the Hof Tel Baruch with vodka, mint, italicus, fino & lemon. Visitors can opt to dine in or stop by a to-go window for the full food menu and cocktail menu.

Founded in 2015 with the opening of Bellina Alimentari at Ponce City Market, Oliva Restaurant Group is a collection of restaurants in Atlanta exploring Baum’s cross-cultural upbringing. The group also encompasses some of Atlanta’s most beloved restaurants, including Aziza and Falafel Nation in the city’s West Midtown neighborhood, Atrium serving a Modern American menu with European influence at Ponce City Market and forthcoming Carmel will give diners a taste of coastal life at Buckhead Village.
