This was Randy Tyson’s first time attending an Accelerate event with What Now Media Group.

“I’ve been following What Now for quite some time, learning about new restaurants and business openings,” he said. “I went to the website just to try to learn about how I could get connected, and I saw that there was an event coming up.”

Tyson is working on a new shaved-ice concept called Sneaux Icy Snowballs, expected to open in Atlanta next year.

A highlight of the event for Tyson was making an in-person connection with his insurance agent, Preferred Partner Deanna Dudley of the Deanna Dudley Agency, for the first time.

“We’ve been working together for about the last five months on the phone, emails, and randomly, we meet in person today,” he said.

Tyson said he would love to attend future Accelerate events, expressing excitement about the platform that the events provide for connecting with a variety of people in the industry.

“I think this is just the beginning,” he said. “Either it’s other business owners doing similar things that I do or vendors that provide services that I need.”
