Publix-anchored condominium tower The Plaza Midtown could soon be home to Atlanta’s second Pho King.

The Vietnamese restaurant is planning a December debut in Midtown, Khoa Vuong, Pho King’s owner, told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in an email Wednesday.

This will be the second Pho King in Atlanta. Vuong opened the first in Buckhead mid-2015.

The Vietnamese concept would replace Dressed in The Plaza Midtown, at 950 West Peachtree Street. Dressed, a fast-casual salad concept, closed its Midtown doors in July for “renovations,” but never reopened.

The space is situated between J. Christopher’s and the recently-opened Pita Pit. The restaurant also joins Marlow’s Tavern and Steel in The Plaza Midtown.

Is this the best ‘pho king’ pho in Atlanta? Leave your thoughts in the comments…

  1. I just returned from my very first meal at the new Pho King, in Midtown. After trying out a few Vietnamese restaurants in the fabled Buford Highway area, and being sadly disappointed, to find this new place only walking distance from my apartment in Midtown got me chomping at the bit, so I decided to do the same at this new joint. I’m very happy to say that this new place was AT LEAST the BH’s equal, but probably even BETTER. I ordered the “Pho Combo,” so I could sample all of the various cuts of beef they use in this dish, and found it as good as any I have tried, anywhere. The side veggies were extremely fresh and plentiful, and the “medium sized” bowl was as large as the “large” sized ones anywhere else! The only nitpick was that the iced coffee wasn’t on a par with most, but a small price to pay for the quality of the main dish. I would easily recommend this new addition to the Midtown area restaurant lineup, wholeheartedly.
