Galette will be bringing sweet treats and savory goods to Avondale Estates next summer, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Galette announced via Instagram that they signed a lease in Avondale Estates, with a goal of opening late summer 2024.
Morgan Perkins and Ashley Thomas started the company in 2017, offering private cooking classes. You may have seen them at Atlanta pop-ups and farmers markets over the years, including the Avondale Estates Farmers Market, selling small-batch, handmade pastries made out of a home kitchen.
Galette’s rotating selection of goods includes sourdough croissants, fruity and savory seasonal galettes, buckwheat bourbon chocolate chip cookies, classic cinnamon rolls and more.
According to the AJC, the new location will be 1,216 square feet with an initial focus on being mostly grab-and-go, but some outdoor seating could be in the works. The shop will be located near the city’s mixed-use Town Green project.
