Novo Cucina will be leasing restaurant space at Lumen Briarcliff, a residential development at 3070 Briarcliff Road NE with ground-level commercial space, ToNeToAtl.com reports.
Novo Cucina first opened in Dunwoody in 2015. The menu includes Italian favorites like pizza and pasta along with a range of wines and craft cocktails, plus sweet treats like gelato for dessert.
Mike Di Paolo, managing partner and co-owner of Novo Cucina, told What Now Atlanta the new restaurant is expected to be open by the end of 2024 or early next year.
Novo Cucina is part of U Restaurants, a group from Riccardo Ullio that also includes Sotto Sotto and Fritti.

Lease Renewal…..not extension. Sad, good place.
Enjoyed this restaurant and tequila tastings. Seems like this stretch of Peachtree is having issues leasing spaces to quality tenants…several large long time vacant spaces close by. Also seems like the owner of the space would be better off continuing a lease with a paying tenant than have vacant space, but maybe the write-off is better for them. Still, I will miss this place.
Really bummed about this one. I’ve loved this place since I moved to Midtown. I predict a long vacancy, unfortunately.
What a loss for Midtown! Escorpion has been a go-to for quality food, drinks and service for years. Such sad, sad news…..
