A permit was just filed in Atlanta for EAV Cafe at 500 Flat Shoals Avenue, a former florist shop.

The concept is from Ray Jones, who in a phone call said he worked for Joe’s for about a decade. EAV Cafe will be a takeout restaurant, he said.

“I noticed there was never really a breakfast spot in this location,” Jones said.

At EAV Cafe, he plans to serve breakfast, lunch and light dinner, as well as espresso drinks and smoothies. He also said the cafe would have a rotisserie for chicken, brisket and ribs. He called the concept a “well-rounded” sandwich shop.

“It’s something that’s needed in the area for the foot traffic,” he said.

The restaurant will be about 1,200 square feet, according to the permit. It won’t have any indoor seating, but Jones said there will be benches outside. He hopes to open within the month.
