Two single-story, multi-tenant buildings are planned for the Cherokee County city, according to construction documents detailing plans for a project called “Hickory Flat Retail.”

The site is located on Hickory Road, adjacent to Bruster’s Real Ice Cream and Dairy Queen.

One building is expected to be 7,190 square feet and contain two tenant spaces, with the other structure measuring 5,920 square feet and containing space for four tenants.

Jersey Mike’s, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Surcheros and a fitness concept called Burn Boot Camp are listed as tenants for the property.

According to the construction plans, a drive-thru is planned for both the Jersey Mike’s and Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The documents indicate that a daycare and playground could also be built at the site across from the two commercial buildings.

The team behind the project is Lindstrom & Company, a commercial real estate development company. According to the firm’s website, the company has been been involved in more than 200 development projects totaling over $500 million in project costs throughout the southeastern U.S.
