The chicken chain is planned for 881 Harbins Road, according to a building permit application with Gwinnett County. The 5,216-square-foot restaurant, still in the early stages, would be constructed across from a shopping center with a new Publix.

GPD Group, an architecture, engineering, planning and consulting firm, is working on the project, according to the application.

Chick-fil-A is known for its classic chicken sandwiches, along with nuggets, waffle fries, salads, shakes and more. There are more than 3,000 locations. The Atlanta-based company opens a limited number of restaurants each year, according to the website.

There is an existing Chick-fil-A in Dacula at 545 Dacula Road.

  1. I love Chick-fil-A; however, while Dacula needs more dining options another fast-food restaurant is not the answer.

  2. The quality of chic fil a has gone downhill. Nuggets are mostly coating and less meat. Some folks may prefer all that coating but I’m paying for the meat.
And you can only get a skimpy dish of their ice dream. At one time I could buy a quart size container. Now you have to buy it in a cone or a dinky cup. Chic fil a used to be my very favorite fast food restaurant bar none but their quality has gone downhill.
