Retailer will host local school donation, customer giveaways, and merchandise deals during its opening weekend.

Burlington Stores, Inc., is opening a new store in Stone Mountain on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 5064 Memorial Drive, the off-price retailer announced in a press release.

“Our goal is to continue to offer communities great values on brand name merchandise for the entire family and home,” Michael O’Sullivan, CEO, Burlington Stores, said in a prepared statement. “We’re continuing to expand our footprint across the country and are excited to be opening a store in Stone Mountain. We look forward to giving local customers the chance to discover fantastic prices on a wide range of products.”

The Citadel Square retailer will debut a 9 a.m. Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and its first 200 customers, aged 18 and up, will receive a $5 “Bonus Card” to be used toward their purchase. On Saturday, December 10, the first 200 customers, aged 18 and up, will receive a “Burlington WOW! Buck” to scratch off and reveal a prize up to $250 and be used toward their purchase. On Sunday, December 11, the customers will receive a free Burlington tote, while supplies last, no purchase necessary. 

“Burlington’s new location will allow for shoppers to find WOW deals and steals throughout the store,” according to the release. “With a clean store design, customers will enjoy an amazing shopping experience directing them to the fantastic merchandise.”

To celebrate the Grand Opening of its new store location and highlight its “ongoing commitment to education,” the retailer will be donating $5,000 to a nearby elementary school through Burlington’s long-standing partnership with the national non-profit organization Adopt A Classroom. Funds will be used to help teachers purchase the necessary materials for their classrooms so that their students can learn and succeed. The presentation of the donation to local school and district leaders will take place at the ribbon-cutting ceremony to be held outside of the new store on December 9, 2022 at 8:45 a.m.
