“Seeing the logo come to fruition is just another step toward this project coming to life,” City of College Park Mayor Bianca Motley Broom said in the release. “Incorporating our residents’ voices is key – we want Six West to be a resounding success for our entire community. It represents a renaissance of not only our city, but the Southern crescent of metro Atlanta.”

The logo features six purple lines shaped to form a number six which, as Clearly College Park executive director Artie Jones explains in the release, “represents the six historic streets located within the development.”

“The Six West logo aims to memorialize the site’s past while embracing College Park’s bright future,” Jones said. “The streets are intentionally pointing from East to West, signifying the development’s relevance to the region’s largest economic development engine, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.”

Six West is being developed by the Business and Industrial Development Authority, Clearly College Park, with public-private partnerships. Plans were approved by the College Park Mayor and council in August of 2019 to build up 3 million square feet of class-A office space, up to six hotels, and 548,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space, along with 260 multifamily units, 100 single-family units, and 120 townhomes.

  1. Hot pink/purple, why?
Were yellow, gold, or orange already taken?
I like the stylized 6, but the rest of it… yikes.

  2. Suburban town center model in a place that could support actual urban development. A missed opportunity in the making.
