Sweet shop, Kilwins, is coming to Town Brookhaven next year. It will be located at 705 Town Boulevard, suite 5500. The space was previously home to ice cream shop, Marble Slab Creamery. An exact date has yet to be announced, but it will be “opening in 2022.”
The sweet shop is being brought to Town Brookhaven by local couple Matthew and Christy Moore. The two also own the first two Kilwins that opened in Georgia – one at 1230 Broadway in Columbus and the other in Atlantic Station, as well as Kilwins in Knoxville, Tennessee, and Destin, Florida. There are currently four other Georgia Kilwins locations in Alpharetta City Center, Halcyon, Dahlonega, and Woodstock.
The Moores left their corporate positions years ago for the business of selling sweets and putting smiles on guests’ faces
“My wife had had an interest in doing a chocolate store for some time. We explored different options and fell in love with Kilwins,” Matthew told Knox News in 2016. “It was partially her dream to own a chocolate store and my dream to own a business. We’ve been able to mesh the two, and it’s working out great.”
“Sweet in every sense since 1947,” Kilwins is known for its delicious hand-made chocolates, Mackinac Island fudge, original ice creams, caramel dipped apples, and other fresh candies.
