The complex on Church Street will have a fresh new look after the renovations, set to take place in phases over the course of the next year, Decaturish.com reports.

The Patel Brothers own the plaza and the company’s namesake grocery store that anchors the complex. The plaza’s last big exterior renovation took place in 2012, according to the news outlet.

As part of the renovation, the Patel Brothers grocery store will be expanded to include one of the neighboring tenant spaces. The store will also get new lighting and an updated exterior design that will include glass and wood for a more modern look. Electric-vehicle charging stations are also being considered for the plaza parking lot.

Construction is expected to take about six months, Decaturish.com reports.

Headquartered in Chicago, Patel Brothers was founded in 1974 and now has about 50 stores across the U.S. The store sells dry goods, frozen items and fresh produce with a focus on Indian flavors and foods.
