The first four medical cannabis locations of Fine Fettle Dispensary are expected in Decatur, Smyrna, Athens and Evans, with two more secured in Macon and Peachtree Corners. Fine Fettle also operates a production facility in Macon, which is up and running now.

Construction on the first four retail stores is currently underway and expected to be done this spring, Chief Operating Officer Ben Zachs said. The first store could open mid-May or early June.

“We feel fortunate to finally get medicine to the patients of Georgia who have been patiently waiting for too long,” he said.

The company founded in 2019 aims to “provide a wholesome, informational and down-to-earth resource for the medical and recreational cannabis needs of our customers.” To be in “fine fettle” means to be in good health or good condition. The company has locations in Massachusetts and Connecticut, including the newly opened first recreational cannabis dispensary in Norwalk.

Fine Fettle was one of only a few companies to receive access to Class 2 licenses allowing them to produce low-THC oil in Georgia.

In the state of Georgia, registered patients with qualifying medical conditions may possess up to 20 fluid ounces of cannabis oil that contains up to 5 percent THC.
