A new restaurant will soon join the ranks of others already open in Atlanta Dairies, according to a building permit filed with the City of Atlanta. El Malo will open at 777 Memorial Dr. SE, Suite 102B, after the site undergoes a series of renovations estimated at $1,875,000.

Renovations will take the form of interior alterations to an existing white box space. New partitions, finishes, fixtures, and equipment are described on the application, which notes the restaurant will feature “a bar with a drink service window.”

Atlanta Dairies is a commercial hub developed by Paces Properties. The development offers a “curated mix of specialty shopping, dining, and entertainment venues, all connected by green space” in the old Atlanta Dairies cooperative, which operated for 60 years. Described as an “urban renewal project,” Atlanta Dairies is located steps from the Beltline, in the heart of Reynoldstown.

We reached out to Paces Properties for further information regarding the new tenant but had not heard back at the time of publication. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
