“We are beyond excited to welcome Chef Ismail to the Casa Almenara family,” owner Gilbert Yeremian said in a press release. “His storied career, unparalleled expertise and dedication to the art of cooking make him the ideal fit for our vision. With Chef Ismail at the helm, Casa Almenara is set to embark on an exhilarating culinary journey, redefining our dining experience for guests and adding an exciting entrant to the outstanding dining landscape of Midtown Atlanta.”

Chef Ismail’s culinary journey spans over a decade, beginning as Executive Sous Chef at Wet Restaurant in Miami. He also held roles as Chef de Partie at Montage Hotel in California and Nusret Steak House in Istanbul, and as Head Chef at Nusret Steak House at the Four Seasons in Dubai. Chef Ismail then showcased his expertise at Naif Restaurant, Bodrum Yalikavak, and Nola Restaurant in Istanbul. He further solidified his seafood mastery at Cibalikapi and Agora Fish Restaurants.

Select dishes by Chef Ismail now featured on Casa Almenara’s new menu include Abuela’s Empanada (steak, oaxaca cheese, pico, avocado, crema), Chilaquiles (scrambled eggs, tortilla, adobo chili, avocado, cilantro), Tres Tacos (tinga, shrimp and birria tacos with accompaniments) and Abuela’s Chocolate Flan (orange, brown sugar, crumbs).

Casa Almenara is located in the heart of Midtown at the Rainbow Crosswalks. It opened earlier this year in the former 10th & Piedmont location. In addition to dinner, the restaurant serves brunch and happy-hour specials.
