UPDATE (December 18, 2018): Revealed! Candytopia Will Be Housed In Buckhead’s Lenox Marketplace
Candytopia, a “candy-coated experiential adventure,” in a press release Monday announced plans for an Atlanta location.
It will open in Buckhead in February 2019.
A company spokesperson, when reached by What Now Atlanta for comment, would not disclose the art exhibit’s exact location or the length of its stay.
Candytopia’s run will be limited.
The art exhibit features more than one dozen rooms with interactive art installations and “full sensory experiences.”
“Since the launch of our sugar-filled wonderland, we have sought locations in top retail destinations where our unique immersive adventure can thrive and attract new audiences,” John Goodman, co-founder and CEO of Candytopia, said in the release.
“We are thrilled to announce the expansion of Candytopia to Atlanta and we look forward to bringing our sweet retreat to more cities in 2019.”
The marshmallowy mini-theme park launched in 2018 in Santa Monica with a limited engagement and currently has two pop-up locations; one in San Francisco near Union Square and one in New York in Midtown Manhattan.
Each Candytopia location features nods to local culture and landmarks, rendered in entirely edible candy pieces.
Guests are treated to candy samples throughout the entire experience including sours and gummies, chocolate treats, nostalgic favorites, and many sweet surprises.
In New York, tickets are $34 for adults, $26 for children 4 to 13, and free for ages 0 to 3.
Atlanta pricing has not yet been released.
