Portofino will serve its last meal on Oct. 22, according to a Facebook post. The AJC first reported the news.

“22 years ago, we opened Portofino on a quiet, tree-lined, street in Buckhead with a simple menu and the simple purpose to be a genuine neighborhood restaurant,” says the Facebook post. “We’ve grown and adapted over the years with some successes and some struggles. It is now time for Portofino to close its doors.”

The social media post didn’t give a reason for the closure, only saying that “change is inevitable and sometimes heartbreaking.”

  1. Hopefully, they will also implement a no smoking policy for thier employees. Having servers that reak of cigerette smoke makes the dining experience less appealing.
