“As a restaurant rooted in crafting unexpected flavor combinations that wow, we’ve always been drawn to and inspired by Atlanta’s rich, diverse culinary and cultural legacy,” Kevin Miles, chief executive officer for Mendocino Farms, said in a press release. “Expanding our presence beyond California and Texas marks an exciting point in our history, and we’re thrilled to call Atlanta – and specifically Modera Prominence in the heart of Buckhead — our new home. We look forward to adding our unique ‘eat happy’ experience to the community’s vibrant dining scene.”

Mendocino Farms was founded in 2005 by wife-and-husband team Ellen Chen and Mario Del Pero. The company is dedicated to community and aims to partner with local vendors and food artisans. The menu is vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free friendly. Some ‘foodie favorites’ are the Peruvian Steak sandwich, a spicy aji Amarillo marinated steak with Oaxacan cheese, herb aioli, red onions, tomatoes, and shredded romaine on a toasted potato roll, while the Vegan Bahn Mi comes with organic, marinated baked tofu; vegan aioli; sweet chili sauce; house-made pickled daikon and carrots; and assorted herbs and veggies on a panini-pressed ciabatta.

You’ll be able to sample these eats and more when Mendocino Farms opens in Mill Creek Residential’s Modera Prominence, the luxury mixed-use apartment community located in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood. The community development, located at 3699 Lenox Road NE, began leasing spaces in 2020. In addition to a sky lounge, club-quality fitness center, and ample co-working space, the five-story community spanning 433,000 square feet will also welcome The Yard Milkshake Bar, Zakia, and CT Reforma.

Plan to enjoy some of those chef-driven sandwiches at Mendocino Farms by fall 2022.
