According to a building permit application with the city, Seahorse, “a new members only restaurant,” is planned for 3286 Northside Parkway. The 2,943-square-foot space in the Borghese Condominium building was formerly a business suite.  The estimated cost of construction is $1,030,050.

Planning documents for the restaurant indicate space for a sushi prep station, a bar and dining rooms. Phase 5 Creative is the architecture and design firm associated with the project.

Atlanta restaurant group Unsukay is listed as the owner, and the proposed Seahorse location is right near another Unsukay concept, Local Three Kitchen & Bar. A seahorse logo has appeared on the Unsukay homepage along with the logos for the team’s existing concepts: Muss & Turner’s, Eleanor’s, MTH Pizza, Roshambo and Local Three.

The new restaurant appears to be an evolution of an Unsukay idea that goes back several years. In 2017, it was reported that the group had a project called War Horse in the works – at 3290 Northside Parkway. People had paid for memberships to the restaurant that would be serving high-end steaks and cocktails, Eater Atlanta reported at the time, fitting with the members-only description of Seahorse.

When reached by What Now Atlanta, Unsukay partner Chris Hall said they were not prepared to share information about Seahorse at this time.
