According to a building permit application, a demolition of the building is planned. The size of the development is 4,200 square feet.
According to a handwritten sign that was found outside the Steak ‘n Shake, the location was permanently closed as of July 19, 2023.
The team helping to bring the Raising Cane’s to Duluth is Humphreys Company, an Oklahoma City-based real estate investment firm, as confirmed by an office administrator with Humphreys Company.
Raising Cane’s was eyeing expansion in Georgia last year, with the restaurant chain planning at least 10 company-owned locations in metro Atlanta. (According to Raising Cane’s, at this time they are not focused on franchising new locations.) There are currently Raising Cane’s restaurants in Athens, Dacula and Buford.
Todd Graves, a University of Georgia graduate, founded Raising Cane’s in Baton Rouge in 1996. The chicken chain serves chicken fingers and sandwiches, as well as crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw and signature Cane’s Sauce. The company currently has more than 700 locations in 37 states, with more in development.

The chicken at this restaurant is horrible. The let down is that it looks great but has ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR whatsoever. The sauces are good but you shouldn’t have to slather your chicken with sauce to cover up the fact that the chicken tastes bad.
Abbi,
I have ate at Canes multiple times and I have not had the experience that you have. The chicken always comes out super hot and tender and I have never had an instance where the chicken had no flavor. Even reheating the next day its good for me.
When will the Snellville Cane’s open?
