As Avalon in Alpharetta prepares to celebrate the openings of Lilly Pulitzer, Lovesac, and Rowan this month, North American Properties (NAP) has secured deals with five new concepts: Aerie, Offline by Aerie, Allbirds, Electric Gamebox, and Freebird.
“Our team’s ability to create experiences that continually attract top retailers to seek out space at Avalon is unmatched,” Adam Schwegman, partner and SVP of leasing at NAP, said in a press release Tuesday. “Their eye for detail and commitment to making an impact on the lives of our guests is what sets the destination apart from surrounding developments. Avalon is already home to nearly 100 retailers and restaurants, and we look forward to delivering these new concepts to round out our lineup of best-in-class offerings.”

Aerie and Offline by Aerie — One of the fastest-growing brands in the apparel industry, Aerie is committed to creating exceptional merchandise collections while positively influencing the way women see themselves and treat others. The store offers intimates, apparel, activewear and swimwear, with every piece designed for comfort. Offline by Aerie, the sub-brand of activewear and accessories, launched in July 2020 and is built for movement, comfort and real life. The brand is the evolution and expansion of Aerie’s popular leggings collection. Offline offers an unparalleled assortment of soft, cozy and comfortable activewear, including an assortment of leggings, bike shorts, tops, sports bras, fleece, bottoms and accessories.
Allbirds — This sustainable apparel and footwear brand specializes in creating lifestyle and performance products made from eco-friendly materials. Allbirds’ story began with superfine New Zealand merino wool and has since evolved to include a eucalyptus tree fiber knit fabric and a sugarcane-based EVA foam (SweetFoam®). In 2019, Allbirds became 100% carbon neutral through a self-imposed carbon tax, and in 2020, the brand began labeling all products with a carbon footprint. Allbirds will open a new store and community center at Avalon in May.
Electric Gamebox — An immersive group gaming experience founded in London by Will Dean, creator of Tough Mudder, where players use their bodies as controllers and navigate through various digital adventures. Instead of using headsets, Electric Gamebox provides guests with visors featuring tracking dots that connect with computers to determine where a user is in the room. It also uses a high-quality projection system, touch screen walls and surround sound to make the environment truly interactive. Electric Gamebox offers a range of retro arcade and newly designed gaming options for ages five and up.
Freebird — In 2009 this footwear company was born out of the love for boots – Freebird isn’t just making boots, they’re creating wearable works of art. Based in Denver, Colorado, Freebird creates timeless handcrafted footwear featuring full-grain leathers and intricate details, while honoring classic goodyear welt construction.
Grand opening celebrations will be held for Lilly Pulitzer on April 9 and 10 and Rowan on April 15. Makers Market is also on track to open later this spring.
Avalon is an 86-acre community, at 400 Avalon Blvd, that features more than 500,000 square feet of retail, a 12-screen movie theatre, conference center, full-service hotel, Class A office, single-family residences, and apartments.
