The space at 996 Virginia Ave NE is being converted “from fitness facility to retail use,” according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta.

Cromwell’s Paradox is taking over the 1,600-square-foot space that was formerly a Pink Barre gym. The shop is a luxury gift boutique focused on “olfactory experiences and journeys.” Think candles, perfumes, lotions, soaps and more. Featured brands include Granado, Lumira, Amoln and Sidia.

Eric Cromwell is the owner of the shop.

The location in the heart of the Virginia-Highland neighborhood is in between Italian restaurant La Tavola Trattoria and tapas eatery Bar.bacoa.
