The 4058 Peachtree Rd. space was the former home of Sugar Shack, which closed its doors in March after 10 years in business. Sugar Shack’s parent company Metrotainment Cafés also closed its Hudson Grille restaurant next door around the same time.

Ray Jr’s Rapz may also arrive in South Beach, Florida sometime in the unknown future, According to a Tweet back in June. While this is the first restaurant the rapper has opened up, he’s no stranger to owning a business. The entrepreneur co-operates Hair Melodies Salon in Cleveland and Atlanta with his wife Brittany Winegarner.

What Now Atlanta reached out to Ray Jr. and his reps but they did not immediately comment on the opening of Rapz.
