Upon completion, the former Wingate by Wyndham hotel would be able to house about 95 people, Atlanta Business Chronicle reports. The Cobb County property is next to Six Flags Over Georgia.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is teaming up with architecture firm Leo A Daly on the project, according to the news outlet.

Headquartered in Staten Island, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation was founded in 2001 to honor firefighter Stephen Siller, who sacrificed his life to save others on September 11. The Austell project is part of the foundation’s Homeless Veteran Program. The program provided housing assistance and access to services to more than 3,300 veterans last year, according to the organization.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation closed on the Austell site last year and seeks to begin construction within the next month, according to Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The organization developed a similar project in Houston, converting a former hotel into a high-end affordable apartment complex that provides housing to 131 veterans.
