New Planet Fitness Planned for Kennesaw

A shopping center in Kennesaw will be able to flex a new tenant when Planet Fitness opens at 2500 Cobb Place Lane NW.

The gym is planned for suite 310 at Barrett Pavilion. The approximately 25,000-square-foot space adjacent to Best Buy Appliance Outlet was formerly occupied by BuyBuy Baby.

The new Planet Fitness comes from Eclipse Fitness Group, a franchisee of the fitness brand with more than 20 locations in Georgia and Florida.

“Eclipse Fitness Group is thrilled to announce the opening of its new 25,000 square foot Planet Fitness facility in Kennesaw, Georgia,” the group said in a statement provided to What Now Atlanta. “This location will provide 24-hour access to a judgment-free zone and an exceptional Black Card Spa, catering to residents of Kennesaw and surrounding communities. We are excited to expand our network of locations in the greater Atlanta area and to make a positive impact on the lives of our members. Additionally, this new facility will further enhance our commitment to serving the veterans of our community through charitable partnerships.”

Founded in 1992 in New Hampshire, Planet Fitness has more than 2,500 locations. It is one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisers and operators of fitness centers in the world.

Planet Fitness prides itself on being inclusive, making their gyms judgment-free zones, and providing “high-quality fitness at an affordable price.” The gyms offer a variety of cardio and strength equipment, and many are open 24 hours a day.

There is currently an existing Planet Fitness in Kennesaw, at The Shops at Butler Crossing.
