The 304-unit residential tower that will be part of Centennial Yards has officially been named The Mitchell, a nod to nearby Mitchell Street. The 19-story tower across from Mercedes-Benz Stadium will include 16,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Resident amenities are expected to include balconies, floor-to-ceiling windows, Atlanta skyline views, an expansive pool deck, a resident lounge and working spaces, a fitness center, and a dog run with accompanying pet spa.

The Mitchell is slated for completion in 2025, according to an announcement. This part of the project broke ground in November 2022, along with a 292-key hotel across the street, which is also expected to top out this year.

“We are excited that in the coming year, The Mitchell will become home to many Atlanta residents,” Brian McGowan, president of Centennial Yards Company, said in a news release. “Revitalizing Downtown requires an increased residential presence, making the neighborhood more vibrant, safe and appealing.”

The next phase of Centennial Yards will feature 480,000 square feet of entertainment, retail and restaurant space. The district will also feature a fan gathering plaza, as well as a 70,000-square-foot, three-level immersive entertainment venue, with technology, media and entertainment company Cosm signing a long-term lease at the development earlier this year.
