Jase’s Lemonade has signed a lease to occupy the standalone shipping container at the upcoming development, Stafford Properties announced. The 160-square-foot shipping container is currently being used as the Terminal South leasing office.

Jase’s Lemonade will offer more than 20 customizable varieties of lemonade, plus gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches.

“From the very beginning, my plans for Terminal South included repurposing the shipping container that we found on the property into something special,” said project developer Melissa Ahrendt. “Last year we had it refurbished to serve as our on-site leasing office and I’m thrilled that by the end of this year it will be once again refurbished to make way for Jase’s Lemonade.”

Jase’s Lemonade started in 2021 when then-seven-year-old Jase Kurtz decided to bottle and sell lemonade at a local event for kid entrepreneurs. The product sold out, and the family-owned business, with Jase’s parents Keairra and Jurell, was born.

After a year of participating in pop-ups throughout metro Atlanta, Jase’s Lemonade expanded to a food truck, and they started thinking about another expansion.

“We’d been on the hunt for space for about a year when we heard about Terminal South,” Keairra said in a news release. “We toured the property and fell in love with Melissa’s vision – at that point we were 99 percent sure we wanted to bring Jase’s Lemonade to Terminal South – when we found out that the shipping container was available, we were 100 percent sold.”

Jase’s Lemonade at Terminal South will offer refresher (over ice) and slushie versions of lemonade and a rotating menu of grilled cheese sandwiches. The 20 lemonade flavor varieties can be combined and include watermelon, strawberry, mint, pineapple and guava. For an extra dollar, beverages can be topped with a choice of candy such as gummy bears, sour worms or pop rocks.

The grilled cheese sandwich menu will rotate seasonally and have several mainstays including the OG with sharp cheddar, the Gooey Nostalgic with double American, and the Bank Vault with gruyère – all on fresh sourdough with kettle chips on the side.

Terminal South is slated to open in the Peoplestown neighborhood in late 2024. The project features the adaptive reuse of two former warehouse structures, introducing approximately 45,625 square feet of mixed-use space.

Terminal South is located steps away from the Atlanta BeltLine and will be the final stop on the city’s first-ever bus rapid transit line, MARTA Rapid.
