The shop, which sells designer clothing and a select collection of wedding gowns, is temporarily operating out of 1011 Marietta St NW Suite A “while our ‘forever home’ is being renovated,” according to its website.

Approximately $60,000 will be spent on the buildout of Suite B, a 4,400-square-foot space adjacent to the temporary store, that La Raine’s will eventually occupy.

Construction is currently caught up in permitting with the City of Atlanta.

Founder and owner LaRaine Devenie originally operated the boutique in the historic and multi-purpose 853 North Highland Avenue house, which is more than 100 years old.

  1. LaRaine’s was on St. Charles Avenue before the move to N. Highland Avenue, in a lovely small space next to Ten Thousand Villages.
