A new Chipotle is proposed for 1001 Pavilion Parkway in Monroe, according to construction documents. The restaurant would be about 2,325 square feet, a standard size for a Chipotle. It appears that the restaurant will be an outparcel of the Monroe Pavilion shopping center.

There are about 3,500 locations of Chipotle worldwide, including 115 in Georgia. This would be the first in Monroe. As previously reported by What Now Atlanta, a location is also proposed for Sugar Hill.

The menu includes burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas and salads.

The chain that began in Denver in 1993 has been experiencing plenty of growth in recent years, opening 271 new restaurants last year and increasing revenue 14.3 percent to $9.9 billion.
