Based on a previous post from What Now Atlanta, Babette’s Café closed its doors on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

Expected to open in mid-August, Sip will offer show-stopping, Instagram-able craft cocktails, chef-driven, farm-to-table dishes, and best-in-class service.

Based on a press release shared with What Now Atlanta, Sip will be Anthony Carrington’s fifth restaurant in Atlanta which includes Caribbean-inspired Spice House (Lithonia and Midtown) and all-day brunch spots, Johnny’s Chicken and Waffles, which he co-owns with Karlie Redd.

“Sip is a dream concept for me and rounds out my portfolio of restaurant venues’, Carrington said in the statement. “When I met Natale, and she shared her vision of a new upscale casual concept with me, I said yes immediately!” he added.

Beyond Atlanta, Carrington just launched Dock’s On The Harbor in Baltimore Harbor, with another Johnny’s Chicken and Waffles coming to Dallas in ’24 and Island Escape opening in Brooklyn, N.Y., this September.

Natale Molinaro has managed and launched some of Atlanta’s most notable restaurants. The list includes but is not limited to Eugene, Lenten’s in The Garden, Fritti, and Soto + Soto. For the last few years, she has been a full-time consultant for more than five restaurants in the Atlanta metro area.

“I believe an unforgettable immersive dining experience is all about the fine details, and that’s what this new concept is all about,” says Molinaro. “Sip will be devoted to the intersection where beautifully delicious food and drinks meet consistently exceptional service,” she stated.
