A property matching the images and description of Young Thug‘s planned “Slime City” has been identified just outside Douglasville, approximately 25 miles west of Atlanta.
Enterprising What Now Atlanta reader Santi Patino shared a real estate listing of the suspected location, depicting a hilly, 95-acre wooded lot complete with a muddy lake that is listed as currently “Under Contract.” Images of the property closely match the video shared by Young Thug’s real estate agent Trey Williams on August 18th, which shows the lake at the end of a narrow, tree-lined road.
The property is listed for $712,875, however a sale price has not been confirmed. Douglas County property records do not currently show a recent sale of the property, however it often takes weeks or months before the records are updated after a sale.
The property is located at the end of Edwards Road in Douglas County, just west of the City of Douglasville. Its just to the north of Camp Inagehi, a Christian church camp and retreat center.
Located outside of Douglasville City Limits, the property is subject to the Douglas County Zoning Ordinance, which lists the property as R-A, or residential agricultural. This may create a hurdle for some of the more ambitious of Young Thug’s plans for Slime City, which include a water park and a dirt bike trail. The R-A zoning does not permit amusement parks, theme parks, race tracks, fitness centers, recreational sports centers or health clubs, meaning that Thugger may have to seek rezoning for some of his Slime City plans.
However on the other hand, the zoning does permit conventional subdivisions, neighborhood recreation centers and private parks by right, while master-planned developments, nature parks and arenas are allowed with a Special Use Permit. In addition, temporary events such as Slime Fest would be also be allowed with a event permit. This could allow a significant portion of Thugger’s plans to be permitted by right, depending on how he structures the development.
