The South African-American-fusion restaurant will take space most recently occupied by Bar Americano and Bar Crema, Italian eateries from 10 Apart that closed in April 2018.

It’s unclear when Yebo’s current location will close, but the new Buckhead outpost is expected to debut in the spring.

“Buckhead has been home to Yebo Beach Haus for the past several years and will continue to be the case,” Leslie Gable, a Yebo spokesperson, in an email Tuesday told What Now Atlanta.

“We’re excited to announce the next steps in the coming weeks as we plan to take the concept to Andrews Square in spring 2020, providing the same great offerings and service as we have at our West Paces location.”

Yebo is from Justin Anthony, the restaurateur behind 10 Degrees South and the ever-expanding Biltong beef jerky restaurant, including a planned Alpharetta outpost.

The move is likely due to an incoming mixed-use development from The Ohlin Group which was proposed in late-2019.
