Y’all! Eats Is Reopening For Takeout Starting Aug. 6

There's a cinematic Facebook video to go with Wednesday's announcement.

After months of being shuttered to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, Eats is finally reopening its Old Fourth Ward doors, at 600 Ponce De Leon Ave NE. For takeout, anyway.

The beloved longstanding restaurant, known for its affordable meat and three, announced the news Wednesday on its Facebook page alongside a cinematic video.

“Y‘ALL,” Eats posted to the social media site. “Tomorrow we open. Takeout only. 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mask and social distancing are mandatory. Don’t be a d*ck…”

Eats will be operating on a limited menu of chicken entrees and vegetable sides only. “[Please] bare with us as we figure out this new era,” Eats wrote. “Enter through the front door, exit out the side door. Phone orders excepted for now and online orders coming very soon. And lastly, we miss Y’all soooooo much and can’t wait to see you tomorrow!”

Eats is one of several restaurants reopening this week for the first time since the shutdown. Our friends over at Eater Atlanta have a great list going here.

  1. Fond memories of cheap eats @ EATS.
Prior to that it was the Celebrity Club!

RuPaul and Lady Bunny help revive Atlanta’s drag scene at clubs like Colorbox in VaHi and the Celebrity Club on Ponce.

Colorbox was the best. It was so small that you couldn’t move without rubbing up against somebody!
Patti put color Xeroxes of her face on the barstools, and encouraged everyone to sit on her face!
It helped that I had a VIP membership…
