“Our team was very intrigued by the Wing It On! Franchise opportunity. What stood out to us was how quickly a location can get up and running, as well as the sales to capital ratio,” Heard said in the press release. “We are confident Wing It On! will be a major player in the industry segment, and certainly the Atlanta DMA, which has extraordinary growth potential, and as such we are excited for what the future holds.”

What Now Atlanta attempted to reach out to Heard for further comment but could not connect prior to publication.

Wing It On! recently opened in Sandy Springs in November.

The multi-unit development agreement, Wing It On!’s largest to date, is one step closer to seeing the brand open an additional 25 to 30 units to markets like Atlanta by the end of the year, according to the press release.

Wing It On! sees itself as redefining fresh and crispy wings standards with a simplified and innovative menu. The restaurant serves a full-line up of hand-crafted crispy gourmet chicken sandwiches, freshly prepared salads, sides, and customizable seasoned fries.

Wing It On! wings are elevated fast-casual wings that stay true to their Buffalo-inspired origins and are made with real butter, real hot sauce, and are extra crispy.

“Dwayne, Clinton, and Nyerere are the exact type of operators we want to partner with as we grow Wing It On!,” Matt Ensero, CEO and Founder of Wing It On! said in the press release. “Their extensive experience in the industry will be key as we enter the Atlanta market.”

Ensero opened the first Wing It On! in his hometown of Waterbury, Connecticut.

Wing It On! locations typically range from less than 1,200 square feet up to 1,400 square feet as 90 percent of the store’s revenue is driven by takeout and delivery sales, according to the press release.

It is actively seeking qualified single-unit and multi-unit owners with business and operations experience in the restaurant industry.
