Where’s The Beef? Back On The Menu at YEAH! BURGER

'While many people applauded our switch to plant-based, we quickly learned after re-opening that the majority of customers wanted the old YEAH! BURGER menu,' Owner Erik Maier said Tuesday.

Last year, the restaurant announced it would go 100-percent plant-based once it reopened after months of renovations, and did just that — and now the burger joint is serving the real thing again.

“We always knew that the main challenge with re-opening YEAH! BURGER as vegan would be our long history as an omnivorous restaurant, and that is exactly what we experienced,” Maier said. “While many people applauded our switch to plant-based, we quickly learned after re-opening that the majority of customers wanted the old YEAH! BURGER menu.”

While YEAH! BURGER is re-introducing organic animal products back to its menu, almost all of its current vegan offerings will remain and will be cooked on dedicated equipment “so that those of you who wish to enjoy these offerings may continue to do so.”

Read the rest of Maier’s sentiments on the meaty situation:

I know that the re-introduction of animal products will prevent some of you from patronizing us again, but I understand and appreciate your conviction and sincerely thank you for your past support. I poured everything into re-opening YEAH! BURGER as plant-based because it’s something that I strongly believe in too, so no one is more disappointed than me that we weren’t able to sustain it.

Like our former menu, we’ll continue to champion the health, environmental and ethical issues that drive YEAH! BURGER’s ethos with our new omnivorous menu. Regardless of plant or animal ingredients, YEAH! BURGER’s commitment to organic and non-GMO sourcing will remain as a proud alternative to conventional, factory-farmed food.

So, we’re back to our inclusive “Food For All” philosophy, which we realized since re-opening was one of the things people really loved about the old YEAH! BURGER. If you’re plant-based, we’ve still got you covered, and if you’re not, we’re currently offering the following USDA certified organic proteins with free-range chicken to follow in the coming days:

– Grass-fed, grass-finished beef

– Grass-fed, grass-finished bison

– Pastured turkey

We’re also still gluten-friendly, so we look forward to serving you soon! With sincere thanks, Erik, Founder, YEAH! BURGER
