The co-working company will add an additional 20,000 square feet and more than 350 desks to the development’s 5th floor, a company spokesperson in an email Friday told What Now Atlanta.

A lease was originally secured in March.

Opening in May 2019, WeWork will now occupy a total of three floors (3, 4, 5) and offer space for more than 1,200 members across nearly 67,000 square feet.

“From a 500-person HQ to a one-person satellite, WeWork is able to create and tailor a custom workplace experience that inspires employees, eliminates the hassle and fosters a culture that attracts and retains top talent,” Bobby Condon, WeWork General Manager for the Southeast, said in a prepared statement.

“WeWork Coda will exemplify this experience and we’re excited to continue to expand in Atlanta.”

The 5th floor will be dedicated to enterprise companies, WeWork’s fastest growing membership segment, she said.

The expansion will offer several WeWork Office Suites (designed for teams of 25 to 200 people).

WeWork Coda will be the company’s third co-working space in Midtown, joining Colony Square and a few blocks over, at 1372 Peachtree Street NE.

Coda, primarily an office development, will also be home to a food hall concept called The Collective.
