Apex West Midtown property scores pizza joint

Westside Pie pizzeria will open this May in West Midtown, according to management at Apex West Midtown.

The pizza joint will occupy space adjacent to Helmet Hair Salon on Huff Road.

What Now Atlanta contacted Westside Pizzeria on Marietta Boulevard assuming the new West Midtown pizza joint would be their second location.

John Miller, general manager for Westside Pizza, told What Now Atlanta Tuesday, they share no affiliation with Westside Pie.

“That sounds like possible copyright infringement,” Miller said. “Someone’s stealing our name.”

Contact information for Westside Pie was not immediately available.

  1. I thought Westside Pizza also changed it’s name a year or so ago to Westside Bar-Cafe Italiano, at least that’s what their signage says.

  2. that westside pizza on marietta blvd was god awful. make it a digiorno night instead.

  3. Westside Pizza is AWESOME! I hear Johnny’s is failing and Westside Pie? Good Luck! Maybe they should partner with tom’s folly on Howell Mill to become the BIGGEST joke in the neighborhood!

  4. I hear pizza is pretty awesome. And I would love to see more variety in the neighborhood! From what I know, Johnny’s isn’t going anywhere. Last time I was there I had to wait for a table on the patio (with my dog). It was worth it with a large pizza and 4 beers for less than 15 dollars? C’mon. You REALLY can’t beat that. Westside Bar-Cafe Pizzaria Italiano (<hybrid names are awesome, too) is too far from my house, so I don't know about that.

  5. Johnny’s has been open for a while now so if it was going to fail it probably would’ve already done so.
