New-to-market Revelator Coffee Company has plans to open three Atlanta locations over the next eighteen months starting with West Midtown, Meredith Singer, Revelator’s director of marketing, told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone conversation Thursday.

“You can’t have a conversation about coffee culture and not be in Atlanta,” Singer said.

The Louisiana-founded, soon-to-be Alabama-headquartered craft coffee and tea retailer founded in 2014, is looking to open five to seven locations this year, and upwards of 30 throughout the southeast by 2016.

The first location, in the Westbridge Partners-owned retail space of Elan Westside apartments, at 691 14th Street, will be the specialty coffee company’s first in Georgia and fourth retail location in the Southeast.

“The Westside is just a fantastic area that has all the bustle of Midtown with the added benefit of a very strong sense of community,” Singer said in a prepared statement.

“We’re excited to be in front of what we see as an underserved but extremely savvy set of consumers.”

In addition to Castellucci Hospitality Group’s latest restaurant Cooks & Soldiers, Revelator Coffee Company joins high-end lifestyle boutique The Bilt-House and New York and LA-inspired women’s fashion boutique Kane in the 11,000-square-feet of retail along the street level of the mixed-use apartment community.

“Revelator Coffee fits perfectly with the fabric of what we are creating in Midtown West,” Chris Faussemagne of Westbridge Partners said in the statement.

“They are known for their great spaces and excellent coffee, juices and food, and we’re excited to welcome them to the neighborhood.”

Westside’s Revelator could open as early as spring, pending all goes well with permit filings and construction. Revelator has stores in Alabama, Tennessee, and a soon-to-open Louisiana spot.
