The home furnishings store Tuesday filed plans with the City of Atlanta to build out space in the Shops Around Lenox for its fifth Georgia store, third in Atlanta.
West Elm has stores in Old Fourth Ward’s Ponce City Market and Atlantic Station.
A Shops Around Lenox representative confirmed the news in an email to What Now Atlanta Tuesday but forwarded the request to “corporate” for comment.
West Elm will open in suite 219 in space currently occupied by Tootsie’s. An estimated $750,000 will be spent constructing the new 12,056-square-foot retail store.
As for Tootsie’s, the woman’s boutique isn’t closing up shop for good. The retailer is relocating to The Exchange in Buckhead.

Hopefully we get a Uniqlo oneday
With Pottery Barn’s recent departure, I could see Uniqlo taking that spot. Or, if PB Kids follows them shortly thereafter.
“athletic apparel” Lulz.
This will actually be Sandro and Maje’s second introduction to the Atlanta market, as I was the manager for them both at Bloomingdales Lenox from 2014 til 2016. These are two great Parisian companies with beautiful style to offer Atlanta once again. Excited to see them coming back as an in-line store!!!!
