The frozen custard shop will open its doors on Valentine’s Day, owner Malik Wilder told What Now Atlanta in an interview Thursday.

Wilder plans to host its official grand opening March 1.

Vintage Frozen Custard will open in space formerly occupied by Ben’s Big Brown Bag.

The frozen custard retailer originally opened as a food truck in 2012.

  1. open frozen custard joint in february… makes sense.

open frozen custard joint one block away from froyo joint and 2 blocks away from jeni’s ice cream (probably best in the city)… makes sense.

this place is a turnstile of attempted restos and this place will be no different unfortunately. sad to see ben’s leave, that place was great and he was a great dude.

  2. Agree to some extent with the previous posters, but I will say there is a demand for Frozen Custard. It’s something that is tough to find. Yogurt is available every other block and Jeni’s while delicious, is not Frozen Custard. Not the best location, but I hope he does well.

  3. Parking at this spot is a major issue. You have to back out into Howell Mill and there are only like 4-5 spots to begin with. A couple people hanging out to eat their custard for 30 mins will be problem. It’s not a walkable area either.

If they aren’t trying for many retail sales, but using it more as a production kitchen, then I think it makes sense.
