A sign on the door of the coffee shop’s temporary location in the Viewpoint building in Midtown indicates that the outpost’s last day of service will be tomorrow, April 26.

The store will be closed in preparation for the forthcoming Starbucks Reserve, which will open just a few steps away May 2 at 6:00 AM at the corner of 7th and Peachtree.

A store manager told What Now Atlanta in March that the Starbucks Reserve cafe will use Clover Press and Black Eagle coffee machines, and that the concept will be “all about coffee and getting back to the basics of coffee.”

The original “Reserve” signage which first made an appearance in early March has since been covered up. However, both a corporate representative and baristas have confirmed that the forthcoming location will still be a Reserve store.

Have you been to a Starbucks reserve? How do you think the concept will do at this location? Tell us below…

  1. Hi, the article says that the current location, closing tomorrow, April 26, is TEMPORARY, but that does not seem correct. I document Starbucks locations for my website, starbuckseverywhere.net, and would like to clarify this. Can you email me at [email protected] to clarify what you meant by “temporary”?

    Thank you,

    Winter
