[Update] Paces Properties Joins $215 MM Star Metals Project on Westside

Paces Properties is partnering with The Allen Morris Company on its Star Metals Atlanta project, a $215 million mixed-use development of “luxury” multifamily residential, street-level retail, and Class A office space in Atlanta’s West Midtown neighborhood, the real estate developer known for Krog Street Market, Monday in a press release announced.

“Paces Properties has been interested in pursuing a project in West Midtown for some time now. When The Allen Morris Company approached us about a partnership in Star Metals Atlanta, we immediately sensed a common mission and drive between our companies and the Star Metals Atlanta project simply speaks for itself,” David Cochran, President and CEO of Paces Properties, said in the release.

“Our values are aligned and our knowledge of the Atlanta market is well-matched. We’re very pleased to announce our collaboration with The Allen Morris Company on such an inspiring and transformative project such as Star Metals Atlanta.”

Located at 1050 & 1055 Howell Mill Road, blocks from the Westside Provisions District, Star Metals Atlanta would be the first joint venture between Paces Properties and The Allen Morris Company.

Paces Properties would also curate the selection and handle the leasing for the ground-floor restaurant and retail components.

Star Metals Atlanta is designed to reflect the historical composition and materials of the old rail yards West Midtown is known for, while incorporating modern luxury and contemporary amenities that will enhance the West Midtown community, according to the release.

Star Metals Residences is the multi-family residential component with 409 rental units, a rooftop club room and rooftop amenity deck, theater, Bocce ball court, Yoga studio, poolside movies at night, community garden and greenhouse where residents can gather.

The building would also include 16,500 square feet of ground-floor retail.

The 14-story Star Metals Offices would offer approximately 185,000 square feet of Class A office space, 30,000 square feet street-level retail with 22’ ceilings, ground-floor restaurants, tenant amenities, collaboration work spaces and structured parking providing an above market parking ratio of 3.5 spaces per 1,000 square feet.

Star Metals Offices could have a rooftop restaurant/bar and “unobstructed panoramic views” of Buckhead, Midtown and Downtown.
