“Paces Properties has been interested in pursuing a project in West Midtown for some time now. When The Allen Morris Company approached us about a partnership in Star Metals Atlanta, we immediately sensed a common mission and drive between our companies and the Star Metals Atlanta project simply speaks for itself,” David Cochran, President and CEO of Paces Properties, said in the release.

“Our values are aligned and our knowledge of the Atlanta market is well-matched. We’re very pleased to announce our collaboration with The Allen Morris Company on such an inspiring and transformative project such as Star Metals Atlanta.”

Located at 1050 & 1055 Howell Mill Road, blocks from the Westside Provisions District, Star Metals Atlanta would be the first joint venture between Paces Properties and The Allen Morris Company.

“As a company, we have a rich legacy in Atlanta and are thrilled to play a role in its continued evolution with the creation of a project, together with Paces Properties, that will celebrate West Midtown’s history and authenticity in a manner driven to cater to a modern, luxurious lifestyle.”

Star Metals Atlanta is designed to reflect the historical composition and materials of the old rail yards West Midtown is known for, while incorporating modern luxury and contemporary amenities that will enhance the West Midtown community, according to the release.

Star Metals Residences is the multi-family residential component with 409 rental units, a rooftop club room and rooftop amenity deck, theater, Bocce ball court, Yoga studio, poolside movies at night, community garden and greenhouse where residents can gather.

The building would also include 16,500 square feet of ground-floor retail.

The 14-story Star Metals Offices would offer approximately 185,000 square feet of Class A office space, 30,000 square feet street-level retail with 22’ ceilings, ground-floor restaurants, tenant amenities, collaboration work spaces and structured parking providing an above market parking ratio of 3.5 spaces per 1,000 square feet.

Star Metals Offices could have a rooftop restaurant/bar and “unobstructed panoramic views” of Buckhead, Midtown and Downtown.

  1. At least the architecture looks a little more interesting than the usual
    Atlanta architectural “box” mediocrity. Congratulations!!

  2. MORE TERRIBLE TRAFFIC to come! Thanks a lot for all the buildings with these tiny, already clogged up streets. Quit building junk over here! We don’t want it!
