Varuni Napoli is moving forward with plans to open a market stall in Krog Street Market (KSM), Paces Properties, the Inman Park development’s developer, Thursday officially announced in a press release.

What Now Atlanta first broke the news in August when a building permit application was filed with City of Atlanta for the forthcoming Varuni Napoli.

“Since opening the original Varuni Napoli location, the Atlanta dining scene has grown exponentially and continues to impress our team, inspiring us to open a second location at Krog Street Market,” Luca Varuni, the pizzeria’s owner, said in the release.

“We cannot wait to bring authentic Italian cuisine and Neapolitan pizzas to a new audience as we continue to grow alongside the up-and-coming Inman Park neighborhood and Krog Street family.”

Varuni Napoli would be located at the south end of the market adjacent to Jeni’s Ice Cream, Ticonderoga Club, The Luminary and Craft Izakaya, taking KSM’s “final culinary market stall,” an 800-square-foot space consisting of an open-concept cooking space behind the bar.

“Since Krog Street Market’s inception we knew we had to have Atlanta’s best pizza concept for this food hall we knew two years ago that Luca and Varuni-Napoli was the right fit,” David Cochran, President of Paces said in the release.

“Good things come to those who wait and this announcement gives us more to celebrate as we approach Krog Street Market’s second anniversary later this month.”

Varuni Napoli should open its KSM outpost at the beginning of 2017. The brand’s flagship location, which opened in 2014, is near the intersection of Monroe and Piedmont Avenues in Midtown.

In related KSM news, Castelluci Group will open a yet-to-be-named concept in the development’s recently-shuttered The Cockentrice Space.
