The Kirkwood eatery closed temporarily in April for renovations.
After closing its doors this past April to make interior renovations, Dulce Vegan Bakery and Cafe will reopen October 21, according to a release.
“Owners Howell Belser and Idalys Sansores have transformed the bakery by streamlining the kitchen, revamping the entrance with a new counter, installing additional seating and sleek decor, as well as refining their organic, plant-based café menu,” the statement from the bakery reveals.
The eatery originally planned to reopen in mid summer, according to a previous announcement, but it has only been in a “soft opening” phase for the last month.
The grand re-opening will feature extended hours from 7:30am to 5pm on October 21 before returning to its normal schedule of 7:30am to 4pm Wednesday through Friday and 9am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Dulce Vegan started as a wholesale plant-based bakery in 2006 before opening the brick and mortar Kirkwood location in 2012, serving organic, local and fair-trade goods.
