A new Korean bakery and cafe is headed to Duluth. Unnie Cafe, which, according to a leasing rep, will specialize in Korean baked goods, is slated to open at 3330 Satellite Boulevard.

The space, at Duluth’s Satellite Shops, shares a plaza with Cap’t Loui seafood restaurant and bubble tea shop Jazen Tea, as well as a number of salons and hair studios. We don’t know when Unnie Cafe plans to open, but owner Sonmi Son has officially signed the lease and could be on her way to pick up the keys right now.

As for the food, we don’t have many details, but we’re hoping for some of those classic Korean bakery staples — bring on the red bean buns, bungeoppang (Korean for fish-shaped waffles filled with red bean paste), and matcha cream-filled croissants.

No matter what’s on the menu at Unnie Cafe, there’s no a better place to grab a coffee and a pastry than at your local small bakery, so whatever Unnie Cafe has to offer, we’re here for it.
