Decatur eatery hoping to reopen nearby in early 2016.

Twisted Soul at 314 East Howard Avenue in Decatur will close on December 30, according to a release.

“We have an amazing group of supporters and regulars at Twisted Soul and love the city of Decatur,” chef and owner Deborah VanTrece said in the announcement.

“Changing locations is a good way for us to take a step back, evaluate things and improve on the next version of Twisted Soul.”

The Southern kitchen and bar concept was unable to reach a renewal agreement with the landlord after opening at the location a year ago.

VanTrece is targeting locations in Decatur for a move in early 2016, but no lease has been signed and other locations in Atlanta will also be considered.
