RevPar Companies later this year will break ground on a Tru By Hilton hotel near SunTrust Park and The Battery Atlanta.
Bobby Patel, an executive for the hotel development and management company, confirmed the plans with What Now Atlanta in an email Tuesday.
It is expected to open in summer 2020, Patel said.
“Tru by Hilton Atlanta—SunTrust Park at The Battery” is the official name for the hotel, at 4511 Circle 75 Pkwy.
But unlike the mixed-use development’s existing Omni and the planned Aloft, Tru by Hilton will not carry any association with SunTrust Park or The Battery Atlanta.
It is, however, being built in the development’s “overlay district.”
“[RevPar’s Tru By Hilton] is not associated with SunTrust [Park] but it is in the overlay district where we had to have elevations look and feel like the whole development by adding brick etc.,” Patel said.
Tru by Hilton Atlanta—SunTrust Park at The Battery will be the second Tru in Georgia for RevPar.
The company has a McDonough property, at 251 Avalon Ct.
